I will spend a good part of today missing you
and your juicer
missing you calling beet juice with just a little bit of dill
the elixir of life
that I have to drink up
“drink it up quickly”
because it loses something important when it sits for too long.
Your lousy friend excuses would be good currency today
because I am rather soft with missing you
and your Kombucha lectures
and the way your apartment makes me feel rosy cheeked
and strong and active and fit
like I was a few years ago
and in certain pictures.
