Those dishes aren’t going to do themselves. Neither is that paper. Nor is the apology you never gave any closer to being accepted, or the love of your life to understanding a confession never made. Because tomorrow isn’t good enough.
Tomorrow isn’t good enough to call your mother. Start your business. Cook that recipe for your friends. It’s not good enough to buy the Streetwise. Fold the laundry. Visit your grandfather. Plan the trip. Take the trip. Stop and smell the roses.
It’s not good enough to quit the job. Start the job. Spring clean. Dream. Voice your opinion. Exercise self control. Start praying. Stop praying. Tomorrow isn’t good enough to start saving your money. Yourself. Your best friend. A puppy. The houseplant.
The people we admire are those whose today’s are our tomorrows. The ones who packed their bags, went skydiving, cleaned their apartments, confessed their love, or forgave their hate. In the end though, everyone has a “tomorrow”. Change that. Admire yourself by doing today. Because tomorrow isn’t good enough. Nor is the day after. Tomorrow means never. And never means a life full of wishes, regrets,
and wants.
Yours truly,
In love and happiness (and sometimes hypocrisy) today and always,
Tania
