He is President and Co-Founder of Fight OUT Loud, a national non-profit organization dedicated to helping LGBT individuals and their allies fight discrimination and hate. Waymon is also a regular contributor and on the editorial team of the Bilerico Project, the nation’s leading LGBT blog forum. He and his husband, Anthony Niedwiecki, live in Chicago, Illinois, where they are the proud foster parents of a now college-aged son. Waymon has been a voice for full equality for the LGBT community for many years, doing everything from organizing multiple large-scale protests to working within the political system to affect change. Her work has appeared in publications like GLQ, The Progressive, make/shift, Time Out Chicago, The Bilerico Project, Windy City Times, Bitch, Maximum Rock’n’Roll, and No More Potlucks. Nair’s writing and organising address issues like neoliberalism and inequality, queer politics and theory, the politics of rescue and affect, sex trafficking, the art world, and the immigration crisis.
